Composition

Baclofen is indicated for:<ul><li>Spasticity resulting from multiple sclerosis</li><li>Flexor spasms and concomitant pain, clonus and muscular rigidity</li><li>Skeletal muscle spasm resulting from rheumatic disorders</li><li>Spinal cord injuries and other spinal cord diseases</li><li>Cerebrovascular accidents or neoplastic or degenerative brain disease.</li></ul>

Indication

Adults: The determination of the optimal dosage of Baclofen requires individual titration. Start therapy at a low dosage and increase gradually until optimum effect is achieved (usually between 40-80 mg daily). The following dosage titration schedule is suggested, but may be adjusted to suit the patient. <ul><li>5 mg three times a day for 3 days</li><li>10 mg three times a day for 3 days</li><li>15 mg three times a day for 3 days</li><li>20 mg three times a day for 3 days</li><li>Thereafter additional increases may be necessary, but the total daily dose should not exceed a maximum of 80 mg daily, although in hospitalized patients daily doses of 100-120 mg may occasionally be necessary.</li></ul> Children: Child up to 8 years, max. Total daily dose 40 mg/day; Child under 18 years, initially 0.3 mg/kg daily in 4 divided doses, increased gradually at weekly intervals until a satisfactory response; usual maintenance dose 0.75-2 mg/kg daily in divided doses; child 8-18 years, max. Total daily dose 60 mg/day.

DEPRESIL®Tablet : Each film coated tablet contains Flupenthixol DihydrochlorideBP equivalent to 0.5 mg Flupentixol and Melitracen HydrochlorideINN equivalent to 10 mg Melitracen.

Anxiety,depression, asthenia.Psychogenic depressions. Depressive neuroses. Masked depressions, long-lasting myogenic headache, migraine, and gastrointestinal disturbances without organic findings. Psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety and apathy. Menopausal depressions. Dysphoria and depressions in alcoholics and drug addicts.

Adult: Usually 2 tablets daily, morning and noon. In severe cases, the morning dose may be increased to 2 tablets. Elderly: 1 tablet in the morning. Maintenance Dose:Usually 1 tablet in the morning. Child: Not recommended.
